Der Gainfaktor gibt an, wie stark das projezierte Licht auf einer Projektionswand gebündelt wird. Die Lichtbündelung (Gain) sorgt dafür, dass sich der Schwarzwert verbessert. Störendes, seitlich einfallendes Streulicht wird verhindert. Bei besonders lichtstarken Heimkino Beamer in besonders abgedunkelten Räumen verbessert sich die Bildplastizität im Vergleich zu Heimkino Leinwänden mit Matte White Tüchern.
